Nearly 60% of the questions we receive relate to avian genetics. For this reason, we recently decided to compile all current information on this topic into a single publication titled Principles of Avian Genetics for Aviculture. As is often the case, certain theories need to be revised regularly. Science is constantly evolving, and genetics is no exception.
Initially, we considered making this publication available only in printed form, but we ultimately decided to offer Principles of Avian Genetics for Aviculture free of charge as an e-book. This allows us to update the content whenever necessary.
The content is freely accessible to everyone. We would, however, appreciate it if copyright rules and source attributions are applied correctly and fairly. We trust that this will be respected.

Bijna 60% van de vragen die we ontvangen, heeft betrekking op genetica. Daarom hebben we recent beslist om alle actuele informatie over dit onderwerp te bundelen in een publicatie met de titel Principles of Avian Genetics for Aviculture. Zoals vaak het geval is, moeten bepaalde theorieën regelmatig worden bijgestuurd. Wetenschap staat immers nooit stil, en ook de genetica evolueert voortdurend.
Aanvankelijk overwogen we om deze publicatie uitsluitend in gedrukte vorm uit te brengen, maar uiteindelijk kozen we ervoor om Principles of Avian Genetics for Aviculture gratis als e-book ter beschikking te stellen. Op die manier kunnen we de inhoud eenvoudig actualiseren wanneer dat nodig is.
De inhoud is vrij toegankelijk voor iedereen. We zouden het wel appreciëren dat de regels rond copyright en bronvermelding correct en eerlijk worden nageleefd. We vertrouwen erop dat dit gerespecteerd wordt.
