We are very close to finding the answer to which gene is responsible for the ‘red factor’ in Agapornis fischeri, and therefore we need additional DNA material (feathers). Ideally, these would come from birds in collections in the USA, but feathers from ‘red factor’ Agapornis fischeri outside the USA are, of course, also welcome.
