We once again have a large number of DNA samples, obtained from feathers, ready for our ongoing DNA research. Among these samples is a valuable collection of feathers from Agapornis fischeri. These samples are essential to our research and help us further unravel the genetic basis of colour mutations in this species.
We would therefore like to sincerely thank all the enthusiasts and breeders who have sent us DNA samples and feathers over the past years. Their willingness to provide us with biological material makes research possible that would otherwise be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to carry out.
Every feather and every sample may contain another piece of the puzzle. The many contributions we receive from breeders and enthusiasts, both locally and internationally, form an important foundation for our research and allow us to continue expanding our knowledge of genetics and colour variation in Agapornis.

We hebben opnieuw een groot aantal DNA-stalen, afkomstig van veren, klaarliggen voor onze lopende DNA-onderzoeken. Tussen deze stalen bevindt zich ook een mooie verzameling veren van Agapornis fischeri. Deze stalen zijn van onschatbare waarde voor ons onderzoek en helpen ons om de genetische basis van kleurmutaties bij deze soort verder in kaart te brengen.
We willen dan ook van harte alle liefhebbers en kwekers bedanken die ons de voorbije jaren DNA-stalen en veren hebben toegestuurd. Dankzij hun bereidwilligheid om materiaal ter beschikking te stellen, kunnen we onderzoek uitvoeren dat anders onmogelijk zou zijn.
