We receive questions about lovebird breeding outcomes almost every week. While we can easily calculate most combinations ourselves, the complex variations caused by alleles and crossing-overs mean it isn’t always straightforward.
We also realized that few, if any, existing calculators account for these specific genetic possibilities. That’s why we launched our own project to build a dedicated calculator from scratch. And the first version is now officially online!
Please keep in mind that the tool is still in its testing phase. We would highly appreciate your feedback or suggestions, so we can fine-tune and improve the software where needed.

Bijna wekelijks krijgen we vragen over de kweekuitkomsten bij agaporniden. De meeste combinaties kunnen we zelf eenvoudig uitrekenen. Maar omdat er door allelen en crossing-overs complexe genetische variaties ontstaan, is dat tegenwoordig niet altijd even makkelijk.
Bovendien merkten we dat er nauwelijks calculators bestaan die met deze specifieke mogelijkheden rekening houden. Daarom hebben we zelf de handen uit de mouwen gestoken om zo’n calculator te ontwikkelen. De allereerste versie staat inmiddels online!
Houd er wel rekening mee dat de software zich nog in de testfase bevindt. We horen het dan ook heel graag als u opmerkingen of feedback heeft, zodat we de calculator waar nodig kunnen verbeteren.
